The frogs stuck out like a sore thumb, easy-peasy as they sat along the edge of the lake. Aggressive to the hook and almost addictive this frogging. Wetook turns fishing them but in a short time we had 15-16 “hoppers” caught and a limit (8) in the ice down bucket of the nice 5-6” croakers. Then it was time to fish for Bass, Bluegill and Green Sunfish. We both rigged up a rod with a Satra Special rig on the line with a medium leech. We tossed into 2- 3’ of water near a known drop off dropping to depths of 12’. Instantly, we were catching fish on the ultralights. A dozen 10-14” bass, small Bluegill and Green Sunfish were caught, and lots of fun was had. A good morning for birding, bird photography, catching bullfrogs and fish from the boat!
