Very nice 6.5” hopper hooked up in a local farm pond.
Early cool morning to go frogging - no wind - frogs were not at all spooky! Once I found them in the upper end of the farm pond it didn’t take long to catch 17+ small and legal frogs (4.5” nose to vent) and keep a limit (8 hoppers) for a future meal of beer batter fried frog legs! Rarity, I caught 2- 6-6.5'' frogs sitting almost side by side along the muddy pond banks. Rarity, big frogs are territorial and they have their spacing!
Let me know if you want to go bullfrog trip fishing with Steve.
NOTICE: Cooling off and with some possible rain, time to start looking for those fall mushrooms: Boletes and Elephant Ear mushrooms. A batch of fresh mushrooms and a skillet of battered frog legs would make for a tasty meal.
