Had a good time longline trolling #5 JSR’s over 6-8’ of water out from the edge of knotted smartweed patches. The bite was very good for the smaller 13-14” walleye and landed plenty of 9-15” White Bass. No hook set needed with 125' of Fire-line out behind the boat, slip the boat into neutral and feel the head shakes and crank them in! Size was an issue for the wally but we had fun as it was a constant bite after the evening storm had passed. Did we do it all over again the next morning? No, we sit on top of the fish the next day!
