Early morning trip to beat the heat. Prairie Queen was was hot-not just the water at 80F on the surface. Caught Redear, crappie, bass and lots of bluegill. Standard stuff with swim baits, leeches and red wigglers. Found I could get down through the small fish by adding weight to the line and found some nice 8.5" Redear down in cooler water and deeper depths. Nice sunny morning with a light south wind.

![]() I have been so busy with outdoor ice fishing, hunting, and trapping trips that I have neglected my web page. We made numerous ice fishing trips to the Valentine NWR near Valentine, Nebraska. Also, I guided trips to Lake Wanahoo, Wildwood, and Meadowlark. Here are just a couple of pictures of some nice bluegill and crappies.
